Call him the gadget guy, as consumer electronics has been a passion for as long as Samsung LCD Business vice president Scott Birnbaum can recall. Scott brings with him more than 25 years of experience in the electronics industry, including past stints at All-American Semiconductor, Sharp, and Texas Instruments.
His credentials, coupled with his knowledge of the electronics value chain make Scott a bona fide industry expert – particularly in the realm of digital displays. Scott has shared his insight with media such as Fox Business News, Bloomberg TV, Fast Company, and Forbes, among others.
Scott balances his love of electronics with an equally strong fascination with traveling. His escapades have included the honor of carrying the Olympic Torch in China and the thrill of being chased by monkeys in Malaysia. Also sharing marquee attention among Scott’s pastimes is biking and being outdoors.
Scott has two children, both in college – a daughter studying psychology at the University of Central Florida and a son who is a medical student at Emory University.
