Samsung’s second annual CIO Forum in the US is only 37 days away and with this year’s line-up of featured speakers, I want to encourage you to register. This year’s event program will feature four keynote speakers and two panel discussions – all centered on data center efficiency. If you are involved in IT management, this high-level event is one you won’t want to miss.
Planned as a gala half-day affair, the forum will focus on providing senior IT executives with a detailed look at ways to optimize operational efficiency in IT environments. The event will bring together speakers from well-known technology companies including Norm Fjeldheim, CIO and SVP at Qualcomm, Inc.; Steven Dietch, Vice President, Worldwide Cloud at the Hewlett Packard Company; and Dileep Bhandarkar Ph.D.., Distinguished Engineer, Global Foundation Services at Microsoft, as well as Mayor Chuck Reed of the City of San Jose.
Industry leaders will discuss how to reduce escalating data center energy costs through cloud computing, virtualization, big data optimization and advancements in component technology. CIO Forum attendees also will learn about disruptive technologies that drive greater business value in the enterprise. Solid state drives and advanced-node Green DDR3 DRAM are two of the solutions to be discussed.
This year’s Forum will feature two large panels, one spotlighting “The Disruptive Use of Solid State Drives in the Enterprise,” headed up by Joseph Unsworth, Research V.P., NAND Flash & SSDs, Gartner, and the other focused on “Techniques for Driving the Optimization of Big Data,” moderated by Mario Morales, Program Vice President, Semiconductors and EMS, at IDC.
